Aaron D. "Jack" French, 75 of Waynetown passed away Wednesday evening at home after a lengthy illness. He was born August 28, 1943 in Tippecanoe County to Doyle & Maude Fowler French.
A 1961 graduate of Hillsboro High School, he worked for 39 years as a journeyman at RR Donnelly and Sons before retiring to pursue his interest in racing. He was active in USAC racing for many years and won the Little 500 at Anderson Speedway 6 times as a car owner with his "Waynetown Gang".
He married Betty Cooksey Muston in 1971, she survives. Also surviving are his children Missy (Mike) Quinn of Noblesville; Mitzi (David) Eichenberger of Westfield; Todd (Dawn) French of Waynetown and Troy (Marchel) French of Waynetown as well as 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother Coy D & Terry French and Sister Creo Pruett.
A Memorial service will be held 4:00pm Sunday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Patty Bymaster & Chaplain Tim Spillman officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00pm-4: 00pm Sunday.
