Obituary

Albert W. Brown, 78, Darlington, died 12:06 p.m. Monday in his residence.

Mr. Brown worked at RR Donnelley and was a farmer.

He was a member of Youngs Chapel Church, the American Legion, VFW and Moose. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.
He was born Dec. 9, 1928 at Alamo to the late Jesse and Easter B. Sparger Brown. On Sept. 1, 1948, he married Beverly Jo Coopman. They later divorced and she survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Steven (Cheryl) Brown, Lafayette; Richard (Melanie) Brown, Crawfordsville; and Randall Lee (Brenda) Brown, Darlington; three daughters, Kimberly (Jim) Fidler, Darlington; Patricia Jo (Brian (Lough), Darlington; and Melanie (Jim) Bonwell, Darlington; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Hamm and Ethel Rose, three brothers, Bob, Dennis and Donald; a granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; a daughter and three sons.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Hamm, his nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Darlington IOOF Cemetery with military rites. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
