Obituary
Alice M. Darwactor, 71, Crawfordsville, died Monday at St. Clare Medical Center.
Mrs. Darwactor was a cook working at the Elks, Countryside Inn, Ben Hur Home and Houston Healthcare. Her memberships included the American Legion Auxiliary and First Baptist Church. She was a 1952 Crawfordsville High School graduate.
She was born Feb. 15, 1935, at Detroit, to Chester G. and Anne L. Yenkle Walls. She married Albert Ivan "Ballbat" Darwactor on Oct. 2, 1954, at Kessler Air Force Base. He died Jan. 31, 1972.
Survivors include a son, Rick, Crawfordsville; a daughter, Libby Godwin, Stockwell; three sisters, Dorothy Wilhite, Crawfordsville, Celia Kincaid, Lafayette, and Lois Todd, California; a half-sister, Francis Grow, Washington state; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Chester G. and Scott, are deceased.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday in Oak Hill Cemetery. Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, is in charge of arrangements.
