Obituary
Alice J. Starnes, 82, of Crawfordsville,
died Tuesday at her home.
She was born May 1, 1927 in Vermillion
County, Ill., to Taylor and Agnes Elsdon
Kyger. She married Wendell Starnes.
He preceded her in death.
Starnes owned the Starnes Christmas
Tree Farm.
She is survived by one son, Wayne
Starnes of Crawfordsville; one daughter,
Julie Surface of Crawfordsville; one sister,
Lucille Biava of Danville, Ill.; three grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1
p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral
Home with the Rev. Dave Hellman officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8
p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will
be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
