Alma Tracy Harris, 87, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday in her home surrounded by family.
She was born on July 3, 1927 in Crawfordsville to Herbert Tracy and Lula Griffin Tracy Woning.
She was a 1945 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. She was a housewife and enjoyed her grandchildren and playing euchre at the V.F.W. She also helped to raise a granddaughter, Tracy DeWitt Kelly.
She married Emerson Harris, Jr. on April 10, 1946 and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2009.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Steve) Waldon, two granddaughters, Tracy (Mike)Kelly and Cherish (Rich) Covault, nine great grandchildren, Charesa Woods, Tara French, Lakota French, Ethan Himes, Caitlyn Himes, Amber Kelly, Breanna Kelly, Brittani Covault and Codee Covault, along with 3 great great grandchildren, Kambria Spencer, Saylor Woods and Tanner Woods.
She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Nancy A. Harris Dewitt, grandson, John Michael Waldon and brother, Herbert J. Tracy.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Larry Tracy and Jim Thurston. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home.
