Alma McCarty, 96, of Crawfordsville died Tuesday at 11:55
p.m. at Ben Hur Nursing Home.
She was retired from R.R. Donnelley,
where she was the first female supervisor
and a board member for the Donnelley
Club.
She was born Feb. 25, 1913 in Hillsboro,
the daughter of Hugh and L. Ella Ball
McCarty. She graduated from Waynetown
High School.
She was a member of the Waynetown
Christian Church.
Survivors include the families of Claude Thompson and
Jim Capehart and two nephews, Jim and Ted Stark of Toledo,
Ohio.

Services will be Saturday Sept. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Hunt & Son
Funeral Home, with Monte Thompson and Jim Capehart
officiating. Burial will be at the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be an hour before the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Womens
Resource Center.
