Arthur Massing, 77, of Crawfordsville, passed away recently at his residence.
He was born June 4, 1930 to Frank Aaron Massing and Audra (Lehman) Massing.
He was a retired farmer and a former Montgomery County Building Commissioner and a fishing guide in Canada. He was married to Betty Rowland White. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and American Legion Honor Guard.
He is survived by a son, William Massing of Ohio; a brother, Paul Massing of Crawfordsville; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Bernard; a sister, Katherine.
Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with Father David Hellman officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Friends and family can pay their respects from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
