Barbara Joan Fruits of Crawfordsville
died at 9:17 a.m. Sunday
at her home. She was 68.
Mrs. Fruits was the owner and
operator of the Knick Knack Shop
until April 1988. She retired after
10 years at Nucor in the administrative
office. She was a member
of Wesley Chapel Church.
She was born May 1, 1943, at
Crawfordsville, to Wendell and
Margaret (Newlin) Schenck. She
married Harry Lee Fruits. He survives.
Other survivors include: sons,
Jeff L. (Vicky) Fruits and Don L.
(Lou) Fruits; brother Rod (Connie)
Schenck; sisters, Marge
(Leon) Koperski, Janet (Rick)
Fyffe, Betty (Gary) Britney and
Anna (Ray) Cedars; seven grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.
Daughter Kimberly Ann and
granddaughter Melissa Sue Fruits
are deceased.

Funeral services are scheduled
for 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hunt &
Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant
Ave., Crawfordsville. Burial will be
at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
Friends may call 1-3 p.m.
Wednesday at the funeral home.
