Obituary

Barbara L. Warbinton, 92, died peacefully in her sleep on July 3, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Dr. Fred P. Warbinton, and her parents, Russell L. and Mary E. Howard. She is survived by her children Jeffrey (Kelley), Lee (Michele), and Craig (Dianne), five grandchildren, Meredith (Tyler Weir), Lauren, Kyle (Sidney), Katie, and Tara, and one great-granddaughter, Elowyn Weir.

She was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on June 12, 1932, and graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1950. In 1955 she married Fred Warbinton, also of Crawfordsville, in the Wabash College Chapel.

They lived in Plainfield, Indiana from 1959-1971, where Fred practiced family medicine, and Crawfordsville, Indiana from 1971-2023. She was an officer for Tri Kappa Social Sorority, the Crawfordsville High School Music Parent/Teacher Organization, the Indianapolis Symphony Society, and was an active member at the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church. In 2023, they moved to Indianapolis to be closer to grandchildren.

In 2012, Barbara became a published author, with a children's book "The Adventures of Tiffany the Pizza Eating Cat".

The funeral service will be held at Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, 307 S Washington St. Crawfordsville, Indiana, on Wednesday, July 10 at 2:00 PM, with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00. She will be interred in Oak Hill Cemetery.
