Barry Douglas Pool, 56, passed away at his home on Monday, January 20, 2020.
Barry was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on October 15, 1963, to Dan Pool and Marty
Pool. On October 18, 2000, he married Stephanie Moore Pool in Winter Park, Florida.
Their daughter, Carrie Louise Pool, was born on May 12, 2005.
Barry, a 1982 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and a 1986 graduate of Indiana
University, Bloomington, moved to Los Angeles after graduation from Indiana
University. Several years later, he moved back to Crawfordsville, Indiana, and worked
in management of Pools Bargain Center and D L Pool Inc. He then formed Wings, a
local internet company. Later he worked for Crawfordsville Electric Light and Power.
His last employer was ETI Software Solutions located in Norcross, GA. He worked from
home for ETI to be closer to his beloved wife Stephanie and daughter Carrie.
Barry liked to read, listen to music, play his guitar, watch movies and participate in
improvisational and regional community theaters. He enjoyed teaching and directing
young people in dramas and musical plays. Barry was a devoted family man and
enjoyed spending time with his family, especially, Stephanie and Carrie.
Barry is survived by his parents, Dan Pool and Marty Pool; wife, Stephanie Pool;
daughter, Carrie Pool; brother, Brett (Twila) Pool; brothers-in-law, Steven (Bobby)
Moore and John (Christina) Moore; nieces, Brennan (Matt) Reynolds and Sheridan
(Tyler Gudell) Pool; nephews, Brett Matthew Pool, Charles Matthew Gudell, Eli Moore,
and Ethan Moore; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Grandparents, Don and
Pauline Pool, Willard and Mary Ellen Kuhn; and mother-in-law, Hazel Moore proceeded
him in death.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 30 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home from 3:00 to
7:00 pm. Memorial services will be held Friday, January 31 at Wabash Avenue Presbyterian
Church at 11:00 am. There will be a calling an hour prior to the service.
