Beryl James Murphy, 80, Crawfordsville, passed away 9:48 AM Thursday in his residence.

Mr. Murphy retired from R.R. Donnelly 7 Sons in August of 1986 having worked there as a sewer operator. He was a member of Elmdale Community Church and served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He was born on March 16, 1927 in Estella, Oklahoma to Paul Murphy and Lizzie Madearis Murphy. He married Norma Ilene Rodgers. She passed away on August 5th, 1983. He then married Delores Newell Fink on July 5th, 1987 and she survives.

Also surviving are sons, Gary J. (Tammy), Darren J. (Michelle), stepson, Bob Fink (Janice), daughter, Sherri Linn (Gary), stepdaughter, Pam Zimmerman (Steve) and twin brother, Earl H. 12 grandchildren also survive. Two sisters; Evelyn Crowder of Dana, IN; and Edna Miller of Terre Haute.

A brother, Paul, Jr. preceded him in death in 2006.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. George Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
