Obituary
Betty Lou Bowman, 89, Darlington, passed away Thursday at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
She was a 1943 graduate of Dover High School and was homemaker. She was a member of Shannondale Bethel Presbyterian Church and a Ladies Aid member.
She was born on March 23, 1925 in Indianapolis to Russell and Mildred (Harder) Horn. She married Harold Bowman on September 8, 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1992.
Survivors include her children, Bud (Deb) Bowman, John (Rhonda) Bowman, Raymond (Roberta) Bowman, Carolyn (Jim) Perry and Connie (Alvin) O'Neal. In addition nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren survive.
She is preceded in death by her husband, sister, Barbara Jane Irvin and two great grandsons.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 PM Tuesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shannondale Presbyterian Church or the Animal Welfare League.
