Obituary

Betty Cooper, 94, Crawfordsville, was called home by the Lord on Sunday morning at Franciscan-St. Elizabeth Health in Crawfordsville.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked for Security Abstract and Title Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church and an avid golfer who also enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was born on May 18, 1920 in Crawfordsville to George and Jessie (Chadwick) Hartung. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1937. She first married Barney Hamm in 1938 and he passed on December 31, 1968. She then married Billy Joe Cooper in March of 1971 and he passed on October 7, 2010.
Survivors include her children Larry (Betty Rutledge) Cooper, Billy Cooper, Debbie (Dennis) Bushong and daughter in law Susie (Bill) Locker. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by both husbands, son, Don Hamm, daughter, Karen Moehling, siblings, Laurence Hartung, Bud Hartung, Howard Hartung, Augusta Hartung, Mary Hartung, Edie Morris, Helen Chambers, Francis Fine, Annie Smith and Ethel Lidikay.
Graveside funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may directed to First Baptist Church.
