Betty C. Sayler, 83, of Crawfordsville died Monday at
St. Vincent Hospice.
Mrs. Sayler worked at R & M Bookstore for 17 years.
She was born Dec. 3, 1925 in Greencastle the daughter
of Samuel and Ester Bacon Scott. She was later
adopted by her mothers sister after the
death of her mother, Mr. and Mrs.
Thodore Curtis of Racine, Wis.
She was a graduate of Washington
Park High School, Racine, Wis., in
1944. She married Charles B. Sayler
July 14, 1957. He survives.
She was a member of the First United
Methodist Church, state president of
The Women's Relief Corps of Indiana
71-72, local president of McPherson
Women's Relief Corps, past president of Sigma Zeta
Chapter of Pi Omicron Sorority, Athens chapter of International
Travel Study Club, past president of Scott Township
Home Economics, District secretary of Wesleyan
Service Guild of Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her mother, brother
Samuel and half brother Charles T. Curtis.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Hunt and Son
Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Lewis officiating. Burial
will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Ft. Atkinson, Wis. Friday. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Thursday.
