Betty Lou Thompson, 94, went home to be with her Lord Wednesday morning January 11. She was born November 2, 1928, in Crawfordsville to Cecil O. and Oakie L. (Willhite) Boze.

She married the love of her life, Leo L. Thompson, Jr. on June 11, 1950.  He preceded her in death on March 12, 2022 after almost 72 years together.

Surviving are three sons; Bradley, Eric (Vicki), and Martin (Carla), all of rural Crawfordsville.  She is also survived by four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers; Clare Boze, Donald Boze, Fern Boze and George Boze, Sr., three sisters; Virginia Scott, Anne Loveless, and Marilyn Howell, and daughter-in-law, Jan L. (Jackson) Thompson.

Betty was a wildflower enthusiast and enjoyed watching birds and gardening.  She worked for several years as a teacher's aid at Walnut Elementary School and then worked for several years at the Social Security office before retiring.

Betty was proud in her Christian faith and love of her family.  She was much loved and will be greatly missed. No services are planned at this time.
