Binford B. Bonwell, 88 of Crawfordsville passed away 5:04pm Sunday at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health Crawfordsville.

He was born June 13, 1925

Binford was a retired mechanic for the state Highway department and worked at Wal Mart assembling bicycles. He was a WWII veteran of the US Army, and a lifetime member of the VFW. He also enjoyed playing golf.

He was married to Monice Perry for 38 years, she survives.

He is survived by his children: Connie West, Larry Bonwell, and Barb (Butch) Graham; his step children Chester (Ginger) Hughes, Gail (Jack) Henderson, and Diana (Michael) O' Connor as well as a brother Willard Bonwell.

He also has several grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and 2 grandsons.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor John Stacy officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North with Military Rites.

Visitation will be from 12-2 on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, VFW or American Heart Association.
