Carroll "Duane" Clifton, 88, Crawfordsville, IN passed away May 11, 2024.  He was born April 30, 1936.  His parents were the late Granville and Nina (Lawter) Clifton.

He graduated Crawfordsville High School in 1954.  Duane served in the Indiana National Guard.  He married Martha "Marty" Walling on September 20, 1959.

Duane was a wonderful father displaying unconditional love, patience, gentleness and kindness to his family and friends.  He was quick-witted and enjoyed creating things.  He built doll houses, toy barns and wood crafts.  He was a meticulous painter and artist.  He enjoyed toy trains and slot cars.

Survivors include his children: Roger Clifton, Mary Beth (Gale) Redden and Susan Clifton; grandchildren; Brandon Clifton, Elissa Kegley, Omer Dylan (Hannah) Redden, Dane Redden, Ella Redden and Remley Redden; eight great grandchildren including Drake Kegley and one great great grandson Kayde; brother-in-law Richard Dick (Shirley) Walling; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, guardians Wendell and Ruth Underwood and wife, Marty.

A celebration of life will be held 5:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home.  A memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM.
