Charles Catterson, 59, of Crawfordsville passed away at 8:35 a.m., Monday.

Born March 31, 1951, in Annapolis, he was the son of Russell Catterson Sr. and Norma Jean Smith. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1969 and married Debra Sering on March 17, 1973. They divorced in 2007. She survives.

He was a welder for Midstates Wire.

Memberships included the American Legion, Moose and Eagles.

Survivors include his father of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Kaycie (Travis) Butcher of Bedford; a son, Curtis (Stephanie) Catterson of Crawfordsville; a brother, Gerald (Marlene) Catterson of Crawfordsville; two sisters, Doris (Rex) Allen and Lindy Cronk, both of Crawfordsville; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; three grandchildren, Kaila Apo, Malachi Catterson and Trenton Butcher.

A brother, Russell Catterson, is deceased.

A funeral service is planned at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with burial in Lusk Cemetery in Parke County.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
