Obituary
Charles Wayne Downey of Crawfordsville died at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday at Bickford Cottage. He was 75.
Mr. Downey retired from RR Donnelley & Sons. He served in the Marine Corps from 1954 to 1955. He was a member of Rock Point Church and American Legion. He graduated in 1954 from Lebanon High School.
He was born May 26, 1936, at Madison, to Charles J. and Geneva L (Anderson) Downey. He married Roberta Bell in 1955. She survives.
Other survivors include: sons, Mark Wayne Downey and Gordon Allen Downey, both of Crawfordsville; sister Debby (Jack) Nelson of Lebanon; and one grandson.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., with Pastor Terry Thompson officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
