Christine Marie Gravens, 92, of Crawfordsville, formerly of Glasgow, Kentucky, went to be with Jesus on Friday, May 18, 2018.
She was born July 3, 1925, and was the daughter of William and Gertie Matthews Bushong.
Her life revolved around her family. She was known as "Granny" to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She never knew a stranger. She enjoyed planting flowers and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Assembly of God for more than 50 years and served as a nursery worker, quilting, along with other church activities.
Surviving are her three children, Linda (Stanley) Taylor, Steven Gravens and Gary (Carol Folk) Gravens, all of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren, Scott (Allenia Kramer) Taylor, Angela Taylor, Stacy (Dale) Townsend, all of Crawfordsville, Sandy (Greg) Page of Sullivan, Chad (Stephanie) Rood of Waynetown and Jason (Andrea) Gravens of Newburgh, Nathan Gravens and Cody Gravens; 15 great-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister Lue Etta Poore; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Cecil Gravens, who passed July 4, 1992; two sons, Danny Richard Gravens and William Donald Gravens; brothers, Thomas, Reno, Leo, James William, Raymond, Charles Richard; and sister Elizabeth Winiger.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 23 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will start at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 24 at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Oak Hill Cemetery.
