Clara Lou Milligan, Crawfordsville passed away Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016. Mrs. Milligan was born April 16, 1925 to Harry and Anna Aumann of Shelbyville. After graduating from Shelbyville High School she then graduated from DePauw University where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Mrs. Milligan taught school at Waveland Junior and Senior School High School and married Dale Milligan on Aug. 14, 1948. She was a past president of Tri Kappa Sorority and a former member of the associate Tri Kappa chapter. She was also a member of the Department F of the Art League. She was an Elder of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, and a more than 60 year member of the church. Mrs. Milligan helped found Milligan's Lawn and Garden, and Flower and Gift store with her husband and partner Dale. She enjoyed the friendship of many close friends throughout the years and remained active with her Needleworkers and Bridge Club groups. Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Nancy (Charlie) Milligan Frick, and Susan Milligan Rosen; two grandchildren, Libby (RJ) Frick Pollak and Evan Frick; and great-granddaughters, Ellie and Quinn Pollak.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31 at Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Van Nuys officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects one hour prior to service. Memorial donations may be made to the Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church of the Montgomery County Community Foundation.
