Clara "Jeanie" Wray, 74, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, at Wellbrook in Crawfordsville.

Born March 7, 1945, to Jim and Nancy Emmert in Crawfordsville. Jeanie graduated from Darlington High School in 1963. She briefly worked for the Journal and Courier newspaper in Lafayette. After a tragic accident she lived with her parents until their death.

Jeanie's memory will be cherished by her surviving family members: son Gordon (Stacey) Emmert; two grandchildren, Rachel and Nathan, all of Crawfordsville; sister Janet (Jim) Miller Emmert of Greenwood; and brothers, Steve (Sue) of Darlington and Joe Emmert of Franklin.

Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mike.

Jeanie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and doing puzzles and playing Bingo with her friends at Wellbrook along with writing in her journal.

Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, with funeral services at 2:00. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington. Pastor Dave Keesee will officiate.
