Obituary
Claude E. Thorp, 68, of Crawfordsville died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.
Mr. Thorp had been a farmer and seed district manager.
He served in the Army and was a member of New Hope Christian Church. He graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
He was born Feb. 11, 1947, at Clinton, Ill., to Carl and Doris (Lampe) Thorp. He married Linda Ackerman. She survives.
Additional survivors include: children, Jason (Ann-Kathrin) Thorp of Wiesbaden, Germany, and Nancy (John) Reeves of Crawfordsville; brother Frank Thorp of Clinton, Ill.; and grandson Daniel Reeves.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Fred, Lester, Carl Dean and Bernice.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will be at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Friends may call noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
