Obituary

Craig Scott Wilson

On Thursday, July 15, 2021, Craig Scott Wilson, loving husband and father of three, passed away in his home of a heart attack.

Craig was the rock of the Wilson family. He was quick to make a friend, ready to lend a hand, and Mr. Fix-It. He was happiest spending time with his wife and entertaining family and friends in his newly finished basement on Raccoon Lake and watching his grandkids grow. He was often heard saying "I'm the richest man on Earth, and it has nothing to do with money."

Craig was born on April 22nd, 1961 in Muncie, Indiana to Eddie L. Wilson and Judith (McKeown) Wilson. He was a 1979 graduate of North Montgomery High School and was honored as a catcher for the Indiana All-Star Baseball team. He then attended Purdue University where he was a member of the Farmhouse fraternity, played baseball, and earned a degree in Agricultural Mechanization and Technology. In the spring of 1983, he graduated from Purdue University. He married his college sweetheart, Donna (Dunbar) Wilson, on May 21st, 1983. Craig and Donna built a life on the farm for 30 years before trading the plow for a boat on the lake. He would tell you that his greatest accomplishments were his three children; Hollie, Missy, and Carter, and the family he and Donna created.

Craig made deep and lasting friendships from North Montgomery High School, Purdue University, St.Bernard's Catholic Church, Crown Cork & Seal, Nucor Steel, and his new tribe in Knollwood Luxury Estates and Yacht Club-- friendships for which he was incredibly grateful.

Craig is preceded in death by his father, Eddie L Wilson, as well as his grandparents; Edgar and Janet Wilson and William and Margret McKeown. He is survived by his wife, Donna, his three children; Hollie (Richard) Yarger, Missy (Josh) Kikta, and Carter (Laura) Wilson, his six grandchildren; Nolan Yarger, Paige Yarger, Mikko Kikta, Zeke Kikta, Eli Yarger, and Heikki Kikta, his mother, Judith Tulley, his stepmother, Gemma Wilson, his sister, Shelle (Randy) Wheeler, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Crawfordsville, Indiana on Friday, July 23rd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a funeral mass and graveside burial immediately following.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus of St. Bernard's Catholic Church (Council #1591), PO Box 244, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
