IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia
Kelsey
April 11, 1961 – May 30, 2025
Cynthia Carol Kelsey 64 of Ladoga, passed away on the evening of May 30, 2025, in her home. Cindy quietly battled a chronic illness for many years. Cindy's memory lives on through her Children and grandchildren, who meant everything to her.
Cindy's greatest joy in life was being a mother. It was her full-time job and life's purpose. Her boys were her entire world. Some of their friends will remember her as the neighborhood mom, as her home and heart were always open to friends, family, and of course, the boys' many friends and close cousins, always treating them like her own. Cindy had a gift for rescuing animals. She once rescued and domesticated a squirrel and a raccoon. To say Cindy had a green thumb would be an understatement. She was born with two green thumbs. Most of her house plants are old enough to drive. Cindy loved playing good pranks! Even if you were on the receiving end of one, it was always worth it, just to hear her laugh. That mischievous laugh will be missed so much. In 2011, Cindy became "Mimi" when she welcomed her first grandchild, Thomas, then Emma in 2015. She adored being Mimi. Her most recent years were spent doing just that. She found her peace in spending time with her grandkids, eating good food, and trying to keep up with the Kardashians.
Cindy is survived by her three sons, Tommy Kelsey (Erin Sewell), Keith Kelsey (Kristie Alley), Steven Kelsey (Archer), two grandchildren, Thomas and Emma Kelsey, her sister Mary (Rick) Watt, Aunt Glenda Barnes, who was more like a sister to Cindy. Nieces and nephews include Tiffany (Micky) Posthauer, Olivia Watt, Amy (Josh) Hirt and Aaron Cotten. Several cousins, great nieces and nephews also knew her as "Aunt Cindy". Several longtime friends, including "Auntie" Char and Penny Lou, whom she cared very deeply for.
Cindy was preceded in death by Tom Kelsey the father of her children and love of her life. Her parents Donnie Bill Reddish and Francis Reddish. Her sister, Diana Brewer. Uncle Carlos Barnes along with his two sons Richie and Jamie. Uncle Steve Tirtel, and his son Steven. Her beloved pets Nikki, Ricky Cooner, Squirrely, Baby, whom she had for over 15 years. Baby was very special to Cindy. Mojo passed away very recently but could often be found perched on Cindy's shoulder. She was truly a free bird.
A celebration of life will be held Friday June 6, from 4-7pm at 592 S. Masters Dr, Crawfordsville, IN.
