Darrell Gene Johnson, 76 of Anderson, formerly of Crawfordsville passed away Thursday at Millers Senior Living in Castleton.

He was born December 6, 1944, in Champaign, IL to Richard E. & Beulah Mae Randles.

Darrell had worked in various sheltered workshops for several years. He was a member of the Chesterfield Church of God, and formerly a member of Sonlight Wesleyan Church in Crawfordsville. Darrell also loved to work on jigsaw puzzles. He loved working in the garden and feeding the squirrels. He was extremely good with animals, it was like they knew not to be afraid of him.

He is survived by his brothers John Earl Johnson & Joe Westley; Sisters Barbara Kaye Johnson Patterson and Kathy Arceneaux, as well as several nieces, nephews, and multiple great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
