David L. Bennett, 69 of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday.

He was born December 3, 1948 in Crawfordsville to William C. & Mary M. Galey Bennett.  He graduated from Crawfordsville High School. David was a Farmer all of his life and also retired from the City of Crawfordsville as a heavy equipment operator.  He was a member of Mace United Methodist Church and loved farming and being with his family.

He married Janet Simpson on December 3, 1976, she survives.  Also surviving are his daughters Jina (John) Cloud of Waveland; Jennifer (Larry) Meadows of New Market; and Crystal Bennett of Crawfordsville. He has two brothers James (Donna) Bennett of Lafayette and Samuel (Karen) Bennett of Crawfordsville.  David had 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren as well as his beloved dog Maci.

He was preceded in death by his brothers John and Robert.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Mark Stevens officiating.  Visitation will be from 11-1pm Saturday.  Interment will be in the Waynetown Cemetery.
