David Carver of Crawfordsville died Friday at St. Vincent
Heart Center, Indianapolis. He was 82.
Mr. Carver first worked for New York Central Railroad
Company and then for Mid-States Wire until his retirement.
He was a First Baptist Church member and Crawfordsville
High School graduate.
He was born April 19, 1929, at Crawfordsville, to Ora and
Sarah (Hughes) Carver. He married Betty Yeley on March 9,
1968, at Waynetown. She survives.
Other survivors include; Ron Carver of Crawfordsville;
daughters, Jan (Ed) Furr and Sandra (Nathan) Brown, both
of Crawfordsville; stepsons, Clayton Griffin of Crawfordsville,
Clarence (Beth) Griffin of St. Louis and Oren (Angie) Griffin
of Lafayette; stepdaughter Lana Burnau of West Lafayette; sister
Wanda Gluth of Hammond; 11 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren;
and one great-great-grandchild.
Brother Norman Carver and sisters, Gladys Cox and Alberta
Cox, are deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m.Wednesday at
Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., Crawfordsville,
with the Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be at Oak
Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call 4-7 p.m.Tuesday at the
funeral home.
