David R. Harwood, 82, Crawfordsville, died Friday morning in his residence.
Mr. Harwood was retired from Allison's Gas Turbine. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness and attended Wallace High School.
He was born Jan. 6, 1925 at Crawfordsville to the late Walter E. and Sally B. (Coffenberry) Harwood. On Jan. 6, 1945, he married Mildred L. Redmon at Waynetown. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Linda K. (Sam) Lowe, Hillsboro; Cathy E. (Nick) Johnson, Crawfordsville; and Teresa L. (the late Phillip) McKinney, Greencastle; a sister, Martha Jean Rayburn, Loveland, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 702 Shady Lane, Crawfordsville, with the Minister Laurel Lehr officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery North. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home.
