Obituary
David Earl Proctor, 78, Crawfordsville, passed away Monday at Franciscan-St. Elizabeth Health in Crawfordsville.
He was born July 8, 1935 in Smartsburg to Lester and Emma (Cowan) Proctor. He graduated from Coal Creek Central High School, served in the United States Marine Corp. and was a roofing contractor who had owned Bob Layne's Roofing Company, Inc.
He married Margaret Joyce Francis and she survives. Also surviving are his children, David Edward Proctor, Mark Allen Proctor, Elizabeth Jean Rasmussen and step daughter, Cynthia Lynn Underwood. In addition several grandchildren survive.
Cremation was chosen with burial to be held at Oak Hill Cemetery North at a later date. Flowers and/or condolences may be sent to 807 E. Jefferson St. in Crawfordsville or to 5544 E 650 South in New Ross.
