Deborah Dowers, 68 of Crawfordsville passed away Friday, July 26th at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette, IN.

She was born October 14, 1955, in Crawfordsville to Raymond Hart & Rita Denham.   She was a QMA for many years.  Deborah attended New Hope Christian Church. She loved watching wrestling on TV and ensured she was home Friday nights for Smashdown.  She also enjoyed going to the movies, getting her nails done, and being with her family.  She fought hard for many years against breast cancer.

She was married to Benjamin Dowers on May 22, 2007, he preceded her in death on April 23, 2019.

Deborah is survived by her daughter Eugenia "Gina" (Lucas) O'Hair of Crawfordsville and son Howard Eugene (Shannon) O'Hair Jr. of Crawfordsville.  Also surviving are a sister Sunny (Shawn) Eubanks; Stepchildren Brandon (Carley) Hinkle, Liza Nicole Hinkle, and Benjamin Korzen; Stepdad Clarence Denham; Sister In law Teresa (Ignacio) Carillo; Brother in law Mark (Brenda) Dower; Sister in law Susan (Raymond) Roehler.

She has 17 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 nieces and 4 nephews. Deborah was blessed with 4 bonus kids Stephanie Mefford, Valerie Walden, April Watt and Suzie Nichols.  She also leaves behind her beloved dog Abby. She was preceded in death by her sister Connie Popp and brother Steve Niece, as well as her parents.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service planned for a later date.

She did not want anyone to mourn over her but to be happy and continue to do right by our family. She wanted us to remember all the good memories  we have of her and to make her proud.
