Delores "Faye" was born on March 7, 1938 to Elsie May (Eubank) and Harvey Monroe Baldwin in Indianapolis, Indiana. On January 25, 2014, Delores went to be with her Lord, her son Duane Ray Swisher, her sister Martha Carrell, and her brothers Harold, John, Russell, Kenneth and Dale Baldwin.
Delores graduated from New Market High School in 1956. Delores was working at R. R. Donnelley's when she met Donald Lee Swisher, and they were married on March 23, 1957 by minister Ray Britton at Parkersburg Christian Church. Her primary occupation for the many wonderful years that followed was caring for her family. In their 57 years together, she and Don traveled to all fifty states, Canada and parts of Europe.
Delores leaves behind: her loving husband Don; daughter Deanna Swisher and her husband Nicholas Stonebrook; grandson Ian Swisher Stonebrook; granddaughter Devon Swisher Stonebrook; grandson Ty Andrew Swisher and his wife Amber; daughter-in-law Martha (Taylor) Swisher; granddaughter Heather Richardson; grandson Sean Richardson; and many nieces and nephews.
Delores worked for Loeb's Department Stores for two years, and she was a cook for the Crawfordsville School Corporation for 14 years. Her great food and generous spirit was also enjoyed by "Aunt Faye's" extended family and by the canoe racers that always set up camp at the Swisher home for the Sugar Creek Canoe Race.
Delores was a member of New Hope Christian Church, and she requested that it receive any memorial contributions. A memorial service will be held at New Hope, in Crawfordsville, at a later date, before a committal at Pisgah Cemetery near Beckville.
