Delos B. "Bud" Mensing, 81, of Crawfordsville, passed away at 11:25 p.m. Tuesday at St. Clare Medical Center.
Mr. Mensing was born March 14, 1928 in Alton, Ill. He is the son of Len and Nellie (Taylor) Mensing.
He was married to Lotus Gano. He retired from C.A. Stevens Inc. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by son, Loren (Star) of Hammond; daughter, Joetta (Bob) Frazee of Crawfordsville; sisters, Gloria Weaver of Bowling Green, Ky., and Joetta Million of Carrollton, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 23, 1996; daughter, Yvonne Mensing; and granddaughter, Tabitha Mensing.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Alan Goff will officiate the services. Burial is at Oak Hill Cemetery North with VFW/American Legion burial rights.
Friends and family can pay their respects from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
