Desmond "Desi" Waldon of Crawfordsville passed away Tuesday, March 26 ^th at Copper Trace in Westfield, IN.  Desi was born on May 22, 1958 to Marcella and Loyd Waldon in Crawfordsville.  He is survived by his daughter, Amber McCutchen, and his son, Ryan (Page) Waldon, both of Carmel, IN.  Desi is also survived by his mother, Marcella Waldon of West Lafayette, IN; siblings April (Ted) Ellis, of Anchorage, AK, Roz (Steve) Côté of West Lafayette, IN, and David Waldon of Crawfordsville, IN. He is also survived by the mother of his children Cathy Waldon of Carmel, IN and by five beautiful granddaughters, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by a sister, Emily, and father, Loyd.  Desi worked for B&D Lumber for several of his early years, developing many of his life-long friendships before moving on to Town & Country Homecenter where he made many more before retiring due to poor health in early 2017.  He loved to hunt mushrooms, watch sports, and shoot the breeze with friends and family.  He was a long-standing member of the American Legion Post 72 and was a simple and caring man, father, and friend.  He will be sorely missed. A celebration of life will be held for Desi at the American Legion in Crawfordsville, IN from 4-7pm on Monday, April 1 ^st .  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Legion Post 72, a place where you'd find Desi laughing and loving those surrounding him.
