Dixie Welliever, 70, Crawfordsville, passed away on Friday, Sept. 8, 2017.
She was born in Marion to Fletcher and Marijane Miller on March 4, 1947.
She graduated from Marion High School in 1965 and went on to earn her Associates Degree in Accounting from Indiana Business College. Mrs. Welliever worked at several different offices in Marion and retired from Kiley Harker in 2009.
She married her very dear husband, John in November of that same year. The two of them went everywhere together. Dixie and John shared their home with her two "Angel Puppies", Brandy and Lady. Nothing gave Mrs. Welliever more happiness than holding her puppies or setting in the swing with the pups and John. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and doing puzzles. She spent her free time talking to her best friend of over 50 years, Becky. Dixie and Becky could write a book about each other.
Survivors include her loving husband, John; two sons, Tom (Regina) of Indianapolis and Jeremy (Angie) of Marion; Janan (Charlie) Akers of Crawfordsville; Renee (Dave) Fidler of Crawfordsville; John (Jenna) Welliever of Florida; three grandchildren, Logahn, Ashleigh and Emily; 10 step-gramdchildren; a nephew, Nelson Youn II of New York; a niece, Elizabeth Southerland of Marion; and of course, her two loving puppies.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Pastor Mark Stevens officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects two hours prior to service.
