Dolores (Karas) Ross, aged 92, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 with her daughter by her side.   She was born December 31, 1930 in Grand Rapids Michigan to Burt  and Katherine (Gorecki) Karas.

She married William Kenneth Ross, who preceded her in death in 2015.  They both retired from Michigan Bell and moved to Indiana to be closer to family when they retired where she was a member of St Bernards Catholic Church and was a member of the basket guild.  They loved to travel and moved to Florida in 2001.  In Florida, she enjoyed making cards, knitting hats for soldiers,  and riding around in the golf cart.  Dolores returned to Indiana in 2014 and enjoyed her time with family.  She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Sean) Cody, her grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Austin) Jones, Corey Cody, Mason (Elizabeth) Cody, and  Will Cody.   She also has three great-grandchildren, Cassian, Wesley and Calliope.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents Burt and Katherine (Gorecki) Karas and her brother Eugene Karas.

Family and friends will gather Wednesday October 18, 2023 for visitation from 11:00-12:30 and funeral services to follow at Hunt and Son Funeral Home in Crawfordsville.  The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery following services.  Father Bower will be officiating the services.

If you would like to give a donation in her honor, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) was a cause that was close to her heart.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Father Michael Bower officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM the day of the service.
