Donna Joan Elfreich of Crawfordsville passed away peacefully Sunday evening at Franciscan Health of Lafayette at the age of 85.

She was born September 17, 1938 at Crawfordsville to Lester Cox and Edna Marie (Smith) Cox.   She married Curtis James Elfreich on April 16, 1976.  They were married over 46 years until Curtis' passing on February 6, 2023.

Donna is survived by her sister Delam Cox and sister-in-law Karen Brindle as well as several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Donna graduated Crawfordsville High School in 1956.  In high school she started her working career at G.C. Murphy's on the sales floor.  Later she was promoted to the office and worked there several years. She then worked in the office at W & M Plastics for about five years. She finished her career working at Meijer on Park Plaza in Indianapolis on the sales floor.

Donna enjoyed both before and after retirement crocheting, watching tv and word find puzzles.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, April 19, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior to services.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue.
