Douglas Dwight Steele, 60, Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017. He was born June 24, 1956 in Crawfordsville to Ralph William and Mae (Kiley) Steele. Mr. Steele was a 1975 graduate of Crawfordsville High School. He had previously worked for R.R. Donnelley's and was a follower of Lord Jesus Christ. Survivors include a sister, Mary (Tim) Cramer of Zionsville; a brother, Bob (Sandy) of Bloomington; a father-figure, Howard Swisher; and five nieces and nephews, Melissa (Lee) Drew, Elizabeth (Jon) Thompson, Michael Cramer, Matthew Cramer, and Casey Steele.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rodney Tarter officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects two hours prior to service. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Ave. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
