Durrell Kelp, 83, New Richmond, passed away Wednesday at home.

He was born May 5, 1934 in Nashville, IN to Ray and Rachel (Brummett) Kelp. He married Barbara Sue Lane and she survives.

He was retired from Bane equipment and was a member of New Hope Chapel in Wingate.

Additional survivors include his children Mark (Linda) Kelp, Dennis (Susie) Kelp, Robert (Jane) Kelp, brothers, Keith (Ruth) Kelp, Kenneth Kelp, sister Beverly Kelp along with nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by sons, Donald, David and Thomas, brother, Paul and grandchildren Jacob and Robby.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Richmond Cemetery. Calling will take place 12-2 Sunday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to New Richmond Cemetery.
