Earl Lewis Chism, 72 of Crawfordsville passed away 1:04am Monday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born October 16, 1933 to Ernest I. & Myrtie T. Riddle Chism. He married Fairy Dinwiddie on January 25, 1958.

Earl owned and operated Chism Construction for over 30 years. He was a member of the First Church of God.

He is survived by his sons Darrell (Annie) Chism & Brian (Christy Davis) Chism both of Crawfordsville, IN, Daughters Theresa (Rusty) Adams of Crawfordsville, Rebecca Chism Hatcher of Lynn Haven, FL, & Marcie (John) Sands of Crawfordsville, Brothers Wayne (Christine) Chism of Glasgow, KY, & Robert Paul Chism of Alexandria, LA, sisters Margaret Scott of Hendersonville, TN & Jackie (Wade) Kerr of Mt. Juliet, TN. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ernest Chism Jr, a sister in law Joyce Chism, Son in Law Ken Adair, and a niece Robin Chism.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call from 4-8pm on Wednesday.
