Earl L. Staggs, 70, of New Market passed away on Sept. 21, 2014, at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville. He was born March 18, 1944, at Crawfordsville, to James L. & Ruby Ward Staggs. Earl retired from Western & Southern Insurance and Autozone. He enjoyed fishing, bowling and golf. He was an Avid St. Louis Cardinals and IU basketball fan. He was a New Market Youth Baseball coach in the 1980s and 1990s. He graduated from Waveland High School in 1962. On Nov. 1, 1969, he married Sandra K. Nicholson. She survives. Additional survivors include: daughter, Angie Staggs, Crawfordsville; sons, Eric Staggs, Crawfordsville and Ryan (Katie) Staggs, Elizabethtown, KY; sister, Charlotte Holmes, Crawfordsville; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Barbara Miller.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Pike officiating. Burial will be at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
