Edward L. "Butch" Shahan, 69, of
Crawfordsville died Wednesday at
St. Clare Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 11, 1938 in
Crawfordsville to Edward F. and Mary
E. (Largent) Shanan. He attended
Horace Mann School. He married
Roberta S. Furman who survives.
He was a member of the U.S.
Army in 1962-63.He
retired from Dekalb
Seed Company after
40 years. He enjoyed
hunting, fishing, bowling, swimming
and golf.
Survivors include three sisters,
Violet Shanan of Crawfordsville,
Delores Bastion of Crawfordsville
and Mary F. Stonebraker of Darlington.
Step-children Kathy (Dennis)
Wagner of Minn., Marcia (Jim)
Mixon, of N.M., Rick (Tonya) Morris
of New Palestine, Cindy (David)
Demoret of Crawfordsville, Mike
(Janet) Morris of Lebanon, Michele
(Dennis) Perry of Crawfordsville and
Mark R. Morris of Crawfordsville.He
is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death is his
father, stepdaughter Lisa Morris and
a step-granddaughter.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m.
at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with
Pastor Jim Rivers officiating.Visitation
will be Friday from 4 p.m to 8 p.m.
and burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery
North.
