Elizabeth Carey of Crawfordsville IN passed away peacefully on January 13 ^th at 6:00 PM surrounded by her family.

Elizabeth (Liz) Carey 77 born November 21 ^st , 1944, in Pekin, IL to Bessie and Henry Mount.  She graduated Delavan High School in 1962.  She married Robert Carey April 21, 1963.  Throughout her life, Liz lived in Kewanee, IL; Waveland, IN; Berea, Ky; Brunswick, GA; Roachdale, IN; Litchfield, KY; and Crawfordsville, IN.

She raised 3 boys, Rob, Duane, and Tim.  She was a loving wife and a great mother.  Her hobbies were quilting, golfing, cooking, playing games with the family and following her 3 boys to sporting events.  She loved spending time together as a family even if that meant she had to go fishing and hunting with them.

She is survived by her 3 sons: Rob (Kelly) Carey, Crawfordsville, IN, Duane (Debbie) Carey, Brandenburg, KY, and Tim (Misti) Carey, Sardis, GA.   She is also survived by siblings Janet Sears, Jane Hinman, Harley Mount and Henry (Ethel) Mount.   She has 9 grandchildren Brittney (Kyle) Archer, Ben Carey (Tammy Puente), Jacob Carey, Kaitlyn Sulc, Dawson Carey, Wyatt Carey, Mackenzie McCafferty, Mallorie McCafferty, and Madalen McCafferty.  She has 3 great grandchildren: Kylie Carey, Jordan and Keagan Archer.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents Henry and Bessie Mount, husband of 49 years Robert Carey, sister Linda Kerns and brother Bill Mount.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service that will be held at Hunt and Son Funeral Home, visitation is Monday, January 17 from 4 – 5:30 with a memorial service at 5:30 for family and friends.
