Elizabeth A. Johnson, 101, of Crawfordsville, died on Saturday at
the Lane Nursing Home.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1906 in Covington to William and
Elizabeth Miller Schma. She graduated from Covington High School
in 1924. She married Dr. Willis H. Johnson in October of 1929. He
preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Art
League of Montgomery County, the Flower Lovers Club and Tri Kappa.
She is survived by her son, John (Jane) Johnson of Albuquerque,
N.M., and a daughter, Genevieve (Harry) Howard of Crawfordsville;
nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St.
Bernard's Catholic Church with Father David Hellmann officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial
will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue.
