Obituary

Emerson H. Harris, Jr., 84, of rural Crawfordsville
died at 11:47 a.m. Tuesday at his
home.
He was born April 10, 1925 in Crawfordsville
to Emerson H. Harris & Pearl M.
McCoy Harris and he graduated from Crawfordsville
schools.
He was as a tool maker & draftsman for
H.C. Industries/Alcoa CSI and he was married
to Alma Tracy, who survives him.
He was a tail gunner in 1943 (WW II) for the
Army Air Corp as a Private First Class in the
Army.
He was a member of VFW Post 1431, American Legion Post
#72 and Moose Lodge #6
He is also survived by daughter Linda (Steve) Waldon and
sisters; Betty J. Gunderman and Bonnie L. (Russell) Staton;
two grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three greatgreat-
grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a brother, David L. Harris; a
sister, Carrie; a daughter, Nancy A. Dewih and a grandson,
John M.Waldon.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral
Home with nephew Larry Tracy officiating. Burial will be at
the Oak Hill Cemetery North. Visitation hours will be Thursday
from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Society or American Heart Association.
