Eva Mae Bushong, age 86, of Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away at home with family members by her side on September 26, 2021.

Eva was born on February 12, 1935 in Metcalf County, Kentucky as the first child of Herschel and Reba (Rigsby) Crews.  In 1951 Eva married James Bushong, also of Metcalf County, Kentucky.   The couple enjoyed 67 years together prior to Jim's passing in 2018.

Being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was one of the most important parts of Eva's life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was a loving person, supportive, and kind. She enjoyed spending time with family, relaxing at the lake, sewing and cooking. We will all miss her dearly.

Eva is survived by children Karen Miller of Crawfordsville, Michael (Laura) Bushong of Greenwood, and Tim (Sharon) Bushong of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.  Also surviving is her brother Junior (Connie) Crews.  Eva was preceded in death by her husband, her mother, father and beloved sister Lucy Hayes.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 29 at Hunt and Son Funeral Home from 3pm to 6pm, with services at 10am on Thursday, September 30.  Eva will be laid to rest at Indian Creek Cemetery, next to her husband, mother and sister.  Arrangements are being handled by Hunt & Son Funeral Home.
