Frances L. Fine, 92, of Crawfordsville, died at 7:15 a.m.
Wednesday at the Ben Hur Nursing Home.
Fine was born Aug. 5, 1916 in Garfield to George W. Hartung
and Jessie Evangeline Chadwick Hartung. She married Lester
Fine on Nov. 4, 1935. He preceded her in death.
She was a bookkeeper for Heating & Plumbing Supply and a
member of First Baptist Church. Fine graduated from Crawfordsville
High School.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Ann Clough, Sally (Terry)
Willis, Linda (Larry) Dickerson and Susie (Don) Stump, all of
Crawfordsville; one sister, Betty Hamm Cooper of Crawfordsville;
nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Fine was preceded in death by six sisters, Augusta Hartung,
Mary Hartung, Ethel Lidikay, Helen Chambers, Edith Morris
and Annie Smith; four brothers, Henry Hartung, Howard Hartung,
George W. Hartung, Jr. and Lawrence Hartung; and one grandchild.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday April 17 at Oak Hill Cemetery with
the Rev. James Ranard officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill
North.
