Freida A. Bruder, 83, of Crawfordsville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday morning in St. Clare Medical Center.
Mrs. Bruder was retired from Bruder Realty where she had been partnered with her husband Carl for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher and volunteer for youth activities. She was also former Worthy Matron and lifelong member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Bruder was born Jan. 1, 1924 in Edwardsport to Ralph and Ruby Copple Barnes. She was a 1942 graduate of Edwardsport High School and graduated from Vincennes Business College. She married Carl Bruder on Sept. 14, 1952.
Survivors include: Husband Carl Bruder, of Crawfordsville; son Randy Bruder, of Crawfordsville; daughter Alisa Bruder Smith, of Crawfordsville; granddaughter Laurie, of Danville; grandson Lloyd, of Crawfordsville; great-granddaughters Lynessa and Mya; brother Ralph Percy Barnes. A sister Doris McCallum is deceased.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. George Plasterer officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Entombment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation
