Geoffrey "Geoff" L Proctor, 61, of Crawfordsville passed away Dec. 24, 2020,  at home surrounded by family after battling cancer.

He was born Aug. 27, 1959, in Long Beach, CA to Elmer and Rebecca (Crabtree) Proctor.

Geoff was a 1978 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, and served in the United States Navy from 1981-1987 as a Naval aircrewman.

His most recent job was at Best Western as a cook, and prior as a printer at RR Donnelley's for many years.

Geoff had a love for old cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles.  He also was quite the outdoorsman.  His favorite pastimes were fishing and camping.   However, his greatest passion was cooking and barbecuing.   You'd often find him sitting at his smoker at all the family gatherings.

He is survived by his siblings, Brian (Rita) Proctor, Mischa Rogers, and Linda (John) Hudson; Children, Jolanda (Mike) Curtis, Jason (Summer) Nelson,  Shawn (Sami) Proctor, Johanna Walton, Maria Proctor, and Brooke Proctor;  16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 aunts he adored.

Geoff was proceeded in death by his parents and his best friend, Paul Hensel.

Hunt and Son was entrusted to handle his arrangements and cremation was chosen per Geoff's request.   A public celebration of life will be held at a later date.
