Obituary

Gladys Mae McIntyre, 73, passed away on June 10, 2023, at her home in Ladoga, IN. She was
born on December 16, 1949, in Crawfordsville, IN, to the late Earl and Letha Lowe. Gladys was a loving
mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family,
especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gladys had a passion for reading,
traveling, and quilting. She was always up for an adventure, and her favorite companions were
her sisters Virginia and Alberta. Gladys loved going to church and attending Sunday lunches
with her family. She also had a passion for shopping and referred to it as "retail therapy."
Gladys is survived by her son Lonnie (Mary) McIntyre, five grandchildren Michael Laughter
(Shasta) of Yukon, OK, Melissa (Justin) Hoffman of Hughesville, PA, Angela Laughter of
Ladoga, IN, Joshua Earl McIntyre of Hughesville, IN, Joshua Ryan (Tiffanie) Laughter of
Oklahoma City, OK, and seven great-grandchildren Lauren, Blake, Jocelynn, AllieBea, Emberly,
Landon, and Rylee. She is also survived by her sisters Alberta and Virginia, and brothers
Wallace, Harold, and Lester, and many nieces and nephews. Gladys was preceded in death by
the love of her life, Daniel Reed McIntyre, who met her at Heaven's Gate, her sons Tony Ray
and Christopher Lee, three sisters, and five brothers.
Gladys was a member of New Hope Christian Church, where her Celebration of Life will be
held at 2746 S Highway 231, Crawfordsville, IN, on Saturday, June 17, 2023. Visitation will be
from 11-1, with services beginning at 1.
